This is the third time we have been to this restaurant. The sushi is always good. This time we tried a burger. It was a fantastic burger but my one complaint is that it was served on a tiny plate which might have looked 'hip' but was functionally horrible. My hamburger kept spilling over onto the table. Use bigger plates. Otherwise the service was outstanding and the ambiance was nice.

Food and service were great! We've been back a couple of times now and the indoor area is especially cute and aesthetic!

super great find in Geneva and will definitely be back! the food was SUPERB--best crab rangoon i've ever had, and the burgers and sushi were incredibly well done! the salmon roll especially was PACKED with meat, and the roll itself held up very well. i got the PB&J burger and while the toppings weren't for me the burger itself was cooked perfectly as a smash burger. the ambiance inside the restaurant was nice and clean, although i would've preferred the lighting be a little higher; it felt quite dark when we walked in. however, we sat outside and it was eeeeepic very chill and clean and not too noisy, with great views of the buildings and area. with the service being just as fantastic as the food and outdoor seating, this place is goin down in my book as a Suburb Staple™ will def be back!

Came out to BASH in downtown Geneva for some dinner and drinks with friends. The concept is mixing american staples like burgers, mac and cheese, and salads with sushi rolls and starters. I love that the menu is mixed and offers something for everyone. There is plenty of inside and outside seating as well as street parking up front and lot adjacent to the patio. The decor inside is minimal and seating doesn't quite fill the space but may be intentional to avoid too much noise. We started with some non alcoholic drinks specials: frozen blackberry daiquiri and two lavender limeades. I LOVED the lavender limeade being perfectly sweet and bubbly. To start, we ordered the Crispy Rice without the spicy tuna, truffle parm fries, and avocado rolls. The crispy rice had a good crisp and heat to it, the avocado rolls were what one would expect, and the truffle parm fries were crispy and tasty! For our mains, two of us got burgers and one mac and cheese. Each burger was cooked as requested and we loved that they had unique flavors (twisted pb&j burger!? How unique!). The mac and cheese was cheesy and had a good portion of bacon and scallions in it to complement the taste. Overall, BASH is a good spot in Geneva for an impromptu bite or drink. Geneva has such a good food scene that it's hard to stand out and make yourself a desirable choice. This is a spot I enjoy but feel they can elevate the aesthetics to compete better.

I had the Ottawa roll and the spicy edamame for dinner here and it was incredible. The sushi was delicious and I feel as though the pricing was appropriate. The spicy edamame was indeed spicy and I would definitely come again. Additionally, my boyfriend had a burger and after tasting a bite of that, I concluded that you can't go wrong ordering anything at this restaurant!

Had a great date night here! Parking: there is a parking lot so you do not need to park on the street Ambiance: when you first walked in it's a little dark but a cute date night spot. We actually got seated in the booth seats in the back which was really great and much quieter than the front of the restaurant. Overall a chill and modern aesthetic for a great date night. Drinks: I ordered a cherry limeade drink it's was so good! My gf ordered strawberry lemonade drink with mint mocktail , she really liked it. Food: We also had to order one burger and one sushi roll. I ordered the Surf and turf Burger which has lobster, butter and garlic aioli and a side of their garlic parm truffle fries. My gf ordered the crunchy tuna roll which has their house bash sauce(basically spicy mayo) the burger flavor was really good I give it a 7.9/10. I would come back and be wanting to try a more normal burger since it was so good i don't think it even needed the lobster, but definitely worth the try. Service was decent, but could be more attentive. Overall had a great date night with my lady, good food and drinks, will definitely be back!

Love coming here! The crunchy tuna roll is incredible! So worth the price! I think the service is slow often but if you catch them on a slow day/time it's great!

If you aren't from the Fox Valley area in Chicago's western burbs, you could literally drive yourself crazy trying to find a good place for dinner. In what seems like a 10 mile stretch of the Fox River there has to be like 30 places to grab a meal. All restaurants that have a decent rating on Yelp! My wife, my daughter and I stopped at Burger and Sushi House (B.A.S.H. - as it's cleverly referred to on their t-shirts) in downtown Geneva, IL on our way home on a random weeknight and had a pretty great meal. The place is literally right off State Street and occupies a very clean and contemporary open space that was probably once an office of some kind before getting a facelift to become B.A.S.H. There's plenty of onsite parking, and even though we arrived 1/2 hour before they closed, there were still quite a few tables filled - suggesting that this place probably does a nice bit of business during the dinner hour. Our server Pedro was friendly and efficient and we were promptly greeted, given menus and had drinks in front of us within 10 minutes. They have a nice selection of craft beers, as well as a full bar and some featured craft cocktails. I ordered a local porter from Pollyanna brewing in Lemont, IL. Kudos to B.A.S.H. for featuring a porter on the menu. It was delicious. I'm so sick of "gastro pubs" that proudly boast about their selection of craft beers and then give you 50 IPA's and 1 bourbon barrel-aged stout to choose from. My wife ordered a hand-crafted Pink Lemonade drink.. she said it was decent, but very sweet. As the name of the place suggests, the menu features mainly burgers and sushi. They do have a few other handhelds and a couple of main dishes - along with som appetizers and desserts. My wife and I opted to split the Tuna Tower appetizer and the Crabby Patty burger. My daughter ordered a Spicy Salmon Poke Bowl. We also ordered a side of the Parmesan Truffle fries. The burger was topped with topped with Crab Rangoon filling, fried Wonton strips and covered in sweet and sour sauce. It was pretty tasty, although we had a pretty heavy dose of the sweet and sour sauce. If I ever order it again, I would get that sauce on the side.. as it was on the verge of being overpowering. My daughter's Poke Bowl was good. She eats these a lot as many of these Poke Bowl spots have started popping up in strip malls in suburbs everywhere throughout Chicagoland. Most of these places allow you to pick and choose, or customize, your Poke Bowl. B.A.S.H. did not, and as a result of this, she liked her bowl, but would've swapped out some ingredients for others if she had the chance. Not sure how difficult it would be to make this item customizable, but it would be a nice addition. The fries were good as well.. no complaints there.. the real star of the meal was the Tuna Tower. Loaded with fresh tuna, rice, seaweed salad and a creamy crab salad, it was plenty big enough to share and really could function as a meal for one. Great value too at $18. In summary, we had a really nice meal at B.A.S.H. without any real concerns or complaints. If I lived in the area, I would most certainly return - especially in the warmer weather because they also have a nice patio attached to the side of the restaurant. However, we're about an hour away... There are soooo many other restaurants and dining experiences in the immediate area that it would be tough for us to justify coming back to B.A.S.H. with so much else to choose from.
